| Painting Water in Watercolor - 2 day workshop: Schdeule to be determined | ||
From water drops on petals to spray from crashing waves, painting water with watercolors isn’t as easy as you might think. Learn how to portray still water, running water, rushing water, and crashing water in a realistic manner. With a focus on light and dark, you will learn how to recognize and establish believable patterns and show reflections that will make the water look really wet! This course is best for students who are comfortable with the medium. Workshop format: alternating demonstrations and brief lectures and painting time. Class size is limited to 5 students to be certain that everyone receives attention. Once you have completed your registration you will be provided with materials lists and templates. Learn to paint different trees in your landscapes. Laura takes you through various techniques that will help you to depict trees; from the bare trees of winter to the lush growth of summer trees. We will be concentrating on shapes and form, along with textures of light and shadow in a tree’s canopy, and the intricate texture or smoothness of bark.
